"Flowers... are a proud assertion that a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
"Flowers are restful to look at. They have neither emotions nor conflicts." - Sigmund Freud
So - I never used to "get behind" flowers. I would feel badly as their promise was that they would not last. I would feel happy and engaged to look, but just for a glimpse never to really gaze. Anyway- I've reformed my opinions and thoughts about flowers and these quotes sum it up nicely. Just beauty is enough. Simple, visual play - displayed. That is purpose enough.
And, this photo does not do it justice, but the yellow is so sunny and fresh, it makes me happy to see.
