So - does this apply to new icons too? Everyone hates this new iTunes turn. I, too, think it's terrible. It's very rudimentary and backward, non-techy, generic, dull, and, drum roll...one note (Sorry! Had to go there...). BUT - is there value in change? Even in changing icons? HELL YES. I'm not sure how this particular disaster got approved, but I like that iTunes decided to put on some new makeup and update the wardrobe for 2010. Now, there's just that little pesky matter of "taste"...
iDon't like it... seriously. This is the kind of thing that makes you wonder why they even bother to hire designers at all. I'm sure it started off well, probably hit a committee for review and started to unravel.
ReplyDeleteThis icon smacks of the "I did it myself" attitude that clients seem to have when they get "creative" and produce-approve something that's completely sub-standard.
... a growing problem.
