"No one has ever learned fully to know themselves." - Johann von Goethe

This is the second time this concept has laid prostrate before my brain today. This morning while at the dentist my hygienist, Misty (who is awesome), says to me that we will never fully know who we are but you should try to learn more and more. I couldn't respond because my mouth was dry as cotton and the slurpee/sucker thing was stealing my saliva, so I thought about it and completely agreed. Further, a new friend of mine mentioned the book "The Facebook Effect" this weekend. I'd like to read that. I'd like to unpack the relationships of how we know ourselves, present ourselves casually/socially and what we reveal to ourselves and about ourselves by changing our avatars often (or not at all)...

  1. I think its important to try and figure out just who we are, and its probably true that we'll never fully know... everyone is always evolving... or de-evolving!
