Round and round

May this house stand until an ant drinks the ocean and a tortoise circles the world." - Jonathan Carrol

Running track gets you these amazing short bursts of "fun". You get the adrenaline rush - but really - you end up right where you began: a little breathless and pink-skinned but no place new. With endurance running you are in for the long haul. You start somewhere - go on a journey and end up somewhere else (unless you do a loop and end up running an accidental half marathon across two States and a District). But even STILL - that is unexpected and full of new experiences that are unforeseen... I think it's no wonder that many people find endurance sports so attractive in their 30's, 40's and beyond after some maturing. Interesting, yes? no? maybe so?
