Gratitude and thankfulness are on my mind today. I saw a movie this weekend called "Please Give" which touched on this idea - especially the main female character who worked through her need to help others in the overtly "help needed" category of her mind vs. the ones in her family so desperately in need of her "help" in a different way. I completely related to her overwhelming sense of sadness at how a simple act of kindness (that SHE was able to give) could rack her to her bones with how much it was needed. http://www.sonyclassics.com/pleasegive/

The image, the quote...well it snaps me into the fray of talk of Hamas and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. Well, it's wishful thinking anyway...
